It's magnetic!

Tired of cork boards and not having enough space to spread your work out visually? Opt for a magnetic wall! Many brands now carry magnetic paints. Several coats are required, but you can also recoat with any acrylic paint in any color or add chalkboard paint for a two in one-use wall. I opted to go with just the magnetic paint as I hate the look of smeared chalk no matter how much you clean it. With the magnetic wall ideas can go up and down as needed but you will need a set of the super strong magnets - such as these - NEODYMIUM DISC MAGNETS, N42, PLATED.

The top of a long thin wall makes the perfect space as it so often goes to waste and you’ll get inspired each time you pass by. Or incorporate it into your home office to keep projects and notes handy and never run out of space. You could even do an entire wall, but keeping things eye level makes them more useful.

go go greenery

Pantone's 2017 Color of the Year is Greenery.

Oh the places your green home can go

Fresh, vibrant, happy and clean.     Evoking nature.

This green is revved up and ready to take us into the future, adding upbeat notes or moody dramatic backgrops. Greenery spells both nature and nurture - taking care of your environment. And it's not limited to this spring green tone.  Greens of all shades are up - from Greenery’s sun soaked hue to dark earthy emerald or the verdigris of aged copper - mother nature rules here.

Ground the greens in bold charcoal and other grays - when this combo works equally well on a scooter on a Jamaican side-street or a graffiti covered alley in Soho - you know it’s good. Dark sand, raffia, weathered wood, any neutral pulled from nature works.  Green looks good with everything - but Greenery in particular needs that bold neutral ground or it can come off with cloying sweetness or Pulitzer preppy.

Want a mix with a more colorful punch? Darker, bolder and cooler greens work with a wider variety of colors - fuchsia’s, pinks, persimmons, violets.  Think spring flowers or hot tropical tones combined with foliage and you’re off to a roaring start for 2017.
